Default Learned something from the dog.

I have a gas furnace for the house and gas water heater. I also have a gas fireplace in the master bedroom so with all the potential killer appliances around me I installed CO and combustible gas alarms in the main part of the house and one in the bedroom that just plugs right into a wall outlet. The one in the bedroom went off in the middle of the night. It is a loud little sucker and woke me up with a real start. Went over to the alarm and by the time I got there I understood why it had gone off, as it was reading "GAS" and I smelled it too. My big fat yellow lab dog had been sleeping right under it. Who knew that a big fat dog fart could set the thing off? This time it WAS the dog....

Just thought I would share. Carry on.

I bet it scared the dog! There's a training tool in there somewhere, but then, how can you blame it on the dog if the dog is trained not to fart in the house?

Hey, you are the guys who keep asking him to get in your cars! Or, do you do that so you have an excuse when you F'up big time...."VR told me to do that, then he caused my eyes to water so badly that I couldn't see any longer"?

99% of the reason I posted this. The alarm scared any remaining **** left out of the dog for sure as it was right next to her. One of my thoughts as I was going back to sleep was "I am going to have to tell this one to the HWFM" gang...

It was the dog! Yeah right. I've used that one too. I didn't get away with it either.

Know what you mean. Now I use "It was (fill in name of any nearby kid here)" Sadly, it often is the kid...My little girl, all of 4 and a half, will rip off a 5.5 on the ricter scale and then say "Excuse me" in her cute little voice with a totaly laughing smirk on her face.

I wonder where she learned that?
