OK, it is a Complete That Sentence Contest! I'll kick it off:

...."Corvette looking when modified like that picture".

As fugly as it might be, the scary part is that it just might work. After all, take a look at some of the F1 aero setups these days...

All I can say is that if I got 1-2 seconds with a setup like that, I'd run it. :P

Someone call Steve Saleen and tell him the Asians have found more places to put vents.

As a turtle, I do assume you mean "if I got 1-2 seconds slower with a setup like that, I'd run it."

Ahhh... but I'm NOT a turtle... I only hang out with one (DJF1) and could only hope to be part of the flock/pond at some point in the future.

As it is, I have yet to attain any kind of proficiency that would even require me to slow down... 1-2 second improvements might help me keep up with the formation lap, at best.

Here's a pic of Danny and I at our first track day up here in Canada (Mission, just outside of Vancouver), in the pissing down rain last Sunday.

You'll notice that our racing associations here in Canada have a much more lax view on driver safety attire. (The gumboots make heel-toe'ing MUCH easier, as you can't help but hit one with the other).

The headgear, while not SA2005 certified, is the appropriate colour (Pylon Orange) as required for apparently stationary objects on track.

Ah, de rigueur for the properly equipped Northwest Racer! Reminds me of my Seattle days. People think I'm joking when I tell them that we used to show up at Kent (Kent Raceway, Seattle International Raceway, Kent Pacific Raceway...they can't seem to stick with a name) with the rain tires mounted and the dry tires on the tire rack.

There is a clear reason that Eddie Bower calls those low cut rubber "duck shoes" Seattle Loafers.......

***OT has their famous "I'd Hit It" thread. Maybe we should start an "I'd Run It" thread.

I'll bet the thing creates its own weather system.

My philosophy is "just because it's ugly out, doesn't mean it can't be civilized". (Dress code notwithstanding).

Danny let me borrow his trailer as well (pictured below), and I ensured we had the 80,000 BTU heater keeping it a nice and toasty 80+ degrees for the entire day.

We were quite warm and toasty BBQ-ing up some brats while everyone else was hunched under a pop-up eating a cold sub.

And yes, we DID have the special dijon mustard for our brats.
