Coming in after the fact, repeatedly, as an armchair QB complete with supermod powers, does not reflect well on you.

And I mean that in the nicest possible way.
While I'm not one to agree with Dave on anything resembling an occaisional basis, I agee with his intended premis. Ouch! That really hurt.

Someone posted a picture of a special Olympics athlete with a quote intended to be a joke and everyone went bezerk calling it tasteless and wrong. I was offended by a picture of people making fun out of the crucifixion, but others thought it was funny.

The Special Olympics post was removed, the Blasphemy post was not. Go figure.

My point is, no one has a right to not be offended. The board will sort out behaviors that it doesn't agree with because posters will respond in a negative way to what they don't like. Just like GR's posts.

But, Dave makes fun of everything. That's what he does. If you don't like it now........too bad. His humor was being cheered and applauded before. Hell, the guy's funny. Great heart too.

(Dave, I don't know if I wrote it word for word like you told me to, but can I have my $50 bucks now? )

Bill, those are probably the wisest words I've ever read in the HWFMR forum.

Scary....

It seems to me that this is just another case of PC being thrust upon us. Not so much by the mods here but in general. Bill, I agree with you. Everyone is offended by something and VR usually covers them all hence the moniker Equal Opportunity Offender.
After enduring some of the stuff in the former forum here this stuff is very mild in comparison.

Lets all not forget one thing though. This bbs and this forum is not a democracy. We don't get to vote.
Of course that doesn't stop us from bitching from time to time.
