Congratulations Bonnie. I wish you and your hubbie-to-be many years of happiness.

My wife and I are on 13 yrs and have had limited issues. I would do it all over again.

I also remind myself that: It is OK to look at the menu, its ordering that'll get you in trouble.

"Oh, I'd say I'm still quite doable". Have you posted pix anywhere that substantiate those claims? Team spirit!

Well, it's kinda cold outside so no skin pics (lol), but here's one John took of me the other day while we were at the Railroad Museum in Sacramento. This was right as some crumb gobbler collided with my hip -- probably why I was laughing. Can we say Kodak moment?

I'll try to get a better pic once the weather gets warm again. That means I have at least six months to lose these holiday pounds.

Yeah, you could say my hair shrunk. That's what happens when you go to a hair cutter that does not understand English very well. I asked for a short cut, but "not short like a boy cut". I guess she didn't understand. That or she hates Americans. No biggie -- I'm growing it back out. Every five or six years I get it cut kinda short, then I moan and groan about how I should have left it alone.

I think the haircut is cute! And I'm jealous of how easy it must be to maintain!

I have to spend time with a flat iron or my hair looks like a lion's mane, according to Herr Jupeman.

Yeah, it is a lot easier to maintain, Katie. When my hair was long, I didn't dare blow dry it as I have curly hair when it gets longer. So I'd have to wait a good hour before it would finally dry. THEN I still had to use an iron on parts of it. What a pain! And then there's getting all that hair under my helmet -- total pita. I cut it originally because it was hot out -- but now I kinda want my hair back now that it's colder.

Uh, yeah.........sounds just like a little hair issue I had this very weekend. I spent about 3 minutes contemplating brush - or - hat? Went with the hat.

3 minutes...Man, I hope you were dropping the kids off at the pool while you mused over that one.

I used to get out of the shower, towel dry my hair, brush it, and then be done with it for the day. For some unknown reason, I actually care more about my looks now than I did when I was a teenager and in my 20s. What a pita, but on the other hand, I'm glad I didn't waste much time back then.

Still not wearing any makeup yet...

The 3 minutes was purely for dramatic effect.

If I took more than 3 seconds I'd be surprised. Of course I am referring to the hat vs brush decision, not the "dropping the kids off at the pool" scenario.

I don't do makeup either, Katie. What a waste, and it's bad for your skin anyway. Maybe when I'm in my 60s I'll try the stuff.

I do the same, Bill, on track days. I take a shower the night before so that I don't have to get up earlier, then just pop on a baseball cap, brush my teeth, and out the door. Why bother when you're just gonna have helmet hair anyway?

Katie . . . don't you know it takes men at LEAST a half hour to drop the kids off? I guess if they weren't reading the dang newspaper or something it would take less time. Men and their morning constitutionals are why married people have two bathrooms. Eeuuu . . . this thread went south in a hurry.

Thanks, Doc . . I take pride in my smile. No matter how much weight I might gain, no matter what my cholesterol level, I know that my dental health is very important. That and my students probably appreciate it that I don't have dragon breath while in the car with them, lol.
