Default MSR Dusty Dave

Dave was kind enough to ride with me for a session and what do I do in return, go off in T7 and make him the weekend's dusties instructor. I also did it for another instructor as well, Michael. Sorry to both.
I can safely say after strip mining the exit of T7, there is no gold in that area although I have not finished panning though all the dirt/rock in my interior.

All in all, good weekend though. I finally got things going Sunday afternoon and was running a lap time quicker than my club race time back in May. A thanks to Brian for line tips and suspension advice as well.

Cheers to all,
Brad

Funny!!!!!!!!!!

I don't really know what happened Saturday, I'm a better drover than that.

One thing I am doing is upgrading my suspension. No more of this half street/track set up, I am finishing it out and getting the rest of the pieces. I'll also have a full cage in the car before my next club race. I'm not going to do another race without a cage.

Dude, you weren't droving badly. You just picked the wrong line in that particular corner. That is why it is called drivers' EDUCATION.

My excuse: car's balance was thrown off by too much ballast in the right seat..........

After hearing about some of the other off over the weekend and resulting damage, I'm glad I have an older 911. Tough little cars.

Sadly, the off track areas are in REALLY bad shape. Most of this can be attributed to all the rain we have had this year. However, a lot of the off track areas have been ****ty since the new section opened because Jack is too damned cheap to have some guys pick up every rock they can find.

I did my part by blading the off track exit of T7 twice.
You're right about the rain. I was noticing a few portions of the track had some nasty looking drops from edge asphault to dirt.

Sounds like some infield areas at Pocono. they look nice and flat/smooth, with evenly cut "grass", but many have gone straight off, become airborn and damaged suspensions. Going off sideways is not pretty!

The trick to going off of turn 7 is to make sure you are already sliding on your roof before you leave the pavement, That way, when you hit the divots and boulders, you'll roll back onto all 4's and you can just drive back onto the track.

I have met him once. So no, I would not say I know him personally.
