Yup, it is this coming weekend. The tangerine-haired teabagger chickened out, just as we all KNEW he would, in order to avoid a very public humiliation complete with digital video on YouTube.

Enjoy the weekend! I would like to get down that way some day and see what your tracks are all about.

I was waved off of participating this weekend at Pocono, no driving or instructing allowed due to a flare-up of a chronic problem with a 37 year old wound. Nothing really, but the equivalent of a soft cast on the lower left leg for at least a week (it WILL be off for The Glen on the 24th & 25th!). Deja Vu all over again, as I suspect I may be the only HWFMR member to have ever purchased a SportoMatic 911 upon my return from the all expense paid trip to tour SE Asia in '70.

I'm going anyway to help with timing and scoring of the TT and autoX, where I believe that those who come with the most cash will be high in the standings and those who leave with the most cash will be lower in the standings!

Bob, I would greatly enjoy having you as a guest at a PCA event at TWS sometime. It would be my honor to show you the track.

Looks like we will have beautiful, albeit unseasonably hot, weather this weekend!!

It will happen one day, and I'll be there with a case of Blue Moon!

Thankfully you aren't getting any of that rain this weekend!

We had a GREAT day yesterday with our group! A record of 77 drivers and 25 instructors! WOW. We were at full capacity. Of course there were the usual complaints -- "So-and-so wasnt' giving point-bys", etc., but even though we had a full house, we had a great time. I didn't get to drive the 993, mostly because I was too busy and partly because my hip was killing me (and now it seems that my life-long bout with arthritis is now spreading to my pelvic bones BAD as well -- it feels like someone punched me there). But I at least had John take a pic or two of me with / in the car for the WOR calendar.

We made over $700 yesterday via our raffle for the charity I discussed earlier. So now we are at just over $1400!

So this has been a great couple of days. John is on TDY in my area, we had an outstanding track day, and our fund just doubled. GREAT! I hope your guys' TWS is at least as good of an event. I hope to hear details soon!

We had a couple of the Utimate Driving Family Sedans in our compound at Pocono this weekend, one an E36 Club Racer and the other the ex-Turner/Auberlin WC TC car. Of course, they were both spanked by a couple of old school '92 Cup Porsches. The car that gave evveryone who drove it the most giggles was a friend's new Lotus Exige Cup 240, which he recently bought in Calyfornya, tested at Willow Springs and brought to Pocono.

Except when he is behind the wheel.

I beat his best time by 8 seconds.

Right, and the Pope was there with the Popemobile, with which he was 6 seconds faster than Francine.
