Chills still go down my spine every September 11th when I remember the more than 2700 people who died in the attacks. Please take a moment to remember their ultimate sacrifice, and pray that this will never happen again.

And here's a personal salute to all who have ever served this country protecting our freedom, both here and gone. Thank you for keeping us safe.

Jupe sent me these pictures this morning. His office overlooks the pit of the former WTC. His company just recently moved back into WTC7.

Here's one of the firefighters gathering around a circle in the pit:



And then the families started to arrive for the ceremony:

All still too clear in many of our minds, and who could ever forget? My wife and I still follow the accomplishements, and there are many, of the kids in our town whom we tried to help through community efforts...all 14 of them who went to school one day, and never saw a parent again, and one who never saw both parents again.
