He won't show up. His only 'win' is to get others to show up and waste their time.

However, I am taking bets that he does show. The odds are 1:1,000,000. Send me $10,000 and you might win $0.01.

I want to see the explanation he gives if he loses the 5 seconds off to VR. There is always a reason why he is slower than others, just like there is always a reason why everyone else is a loser if they are slower than anyone else or if they choose not to -- or recognize that they cannot -- go pro.

Amazing.

All of this on no record.

He truly is a "my glass is half full (despite it being empty) and your glass is empty (despite it being nearly full)"

Total detachment from reality.

Well, I don't race. I haven't even driven in two years, but the season is still fun. Jupe has gotten to a bunch of races this season, and I've been on hand to watch at Lime Rock (was able to take some great pictures during the start of his race which was...interesting), Watkins Glen (where we all nearly drowned), and Mosport. I have to say, he races with a really cool class....It's fun to watch the cars play, and it seems like the guys have a pretty good time racing.

So, the racing season for me is going pretty well!

I've also beeen working with a driver coach. 2 main areas I've been focusing on

1. Making sure the pedal is ALL the way down.
2. Driving straighter when I wasn't turning.

Are you kidding? That is THE funniest web-junk thing I've seen in a long time. I circulated it around work, and people were walking around the office saying "go straight,... go straighter", and "push the pedal all the way down".

Also: Don't go sideways in a straight line unless you have a car with no front bumper and an open trunklid

Well done Michael. I've handled it the same way. I've never asked should be moved up. I figure that is part of the instructor's job, and when the time is right it will happen. Of course I want to move up, but I also figure I owe it to the other drovers to only move into a different run group when I fit in wrt speed, skill, and awareness.

I'm really looking forward to the challenge of learning Cresson next month. I think being out of the comfort zone of TWS should be a good test of skills and awareness.

Jim

Shawn's fast, Jeff is really quick in his new car, Chris Inglot is getting his new car sorted. Dougie the Arch-Nemisis has been quick, as you know -- I can't wait for Road America
