Inventing a drink
So, we're on vacation this week. The house where we are (in Canada) overlooks an island in the bay called "Wedge Island." Located about a mile off of the shore, Wedge is pretty small, inhabited only by Cormorants, and just begs to have a drink named after it.
The Wedgie.
So, if you were going to make a Wedgie, what would you put in it? We were thinking Kahlua, Vodka, and Chocolate liquer, but maybe you guys have some good idea.

If you can find some Amarulla (it's a liquer from South Africa), try that in place of the Kaluah. YUMMY.

But you could add a wedge shaped piece of black licorice.....

Don't know that this is particularly relevant to your location, but I've been thinking about making some sort of lemoncello & vodka based drink shaken & served up like my favorite drink. Maybe put a thin lemon or lime wedge on the rim & call it a wedgie?

We're now discussing a margarita like drink....
The snickers in the Vodka is actually a good idea. Part of the problem with Wedge is that the Cormorants leave a large quantity of guano on the island, so it stinks.
We also think that having a brown aspect to the drink is in the spirit of Wedgies....

Okay, so I wasted some perfectly good vodka.
The first wedgie has 1 part kaluha, 1 part vodka, a scoop of ice cream, chocolate shavings, and....well, a lot of milk, because I make my parts pretty strong.
How much is a "part", anyway? Seriously, I need to learn how to mix drinks...

Apparently, this is known as a Hummer when made w/ rum... the Hummer was originally test-driven with vodka, but apparently rum won out.
