My parents cat after an encounter with an owl that thought it was an easy rabbit dinner. Not sure what happened to the owl but 50 staples in the cat. Cat came in that night and didn't act weird at all. Only when it went in for a checkup with the vet which happened to be the next day did they find the battle scars.
This cat has been seen grabbing a pheasant out of the air as it took off, been bitten on the face by a large rattle snake (now it only brings home headless snakes of all varieties), has fought a fox along with it's fellow cat in the household, and catches voles up to 5 at a time.
I can only imagine what went through the mind of the owl when if found out that what it had run into was not your ordinary rabbit.

Holy crap! I heard that cats tend not to 'voice' their pain, but that poor cat must have been in agony! But, just like a cat, I'm sure he was too proud to say anything. I found my boy cat (he was a stray at that time) up in a tree, with a panting German Shepard at the tree's base. The cat had been bitten so severely in the right left leg that he broke 8 bones! Two surgeries later, he is thriving in my home, and still playing tricks on my older female cat. Let's just say, this is one more reason I keep him INDOORS. I can't afford the vet bills! Now I know where they came up with the idea that cats have nine lives!
