Bonnie,

Thanks for the invite, but I don't have a track car right now...

Right now the only P-car we have belongs to an instructor.
Sure thing bonnie, i'll see if i can help out.

You can get a race-prepared RX-7 for about $5k, Loan. It's kinda slow and tail-happy, but it's cheap. How come you don't just track the Porsche? Or are you like me, where I don't like taking expensive cars to the track? Such a catch-22, isn't it? I just thought your avatar car was really nice, and would have loved to see it up close and personal. Sorry that you can't make it. Maybe some other time.

Nah, unfortunately, we don't have any more events until June. We had three in January, and one in February, and the next is of course in June. BUT . . . I highly recommend www.gotgutsatthunderhill.com run by a close friend of mine. His event is a benefit for the Crohn's and Colitis Society. Then there's Track Masters on April 16 at Sears, and on April 13 at Thunderhill. Also, NASA is running a full event at Thunderhill on April 14-15. And Unlimited Laps is running an event, if memory serves, this month at Laguna. So you see, you have LOTS of choices if you have the time and moolah.

I don't recall how many track days and races I've been to since 2000, but I bet it's close in number to you. I'm an addict, remember? Already this year I've been to 14 events, 5 of which T.E.A.M. hosted (one at Laguna, four at Thunderhill). So don't be so quick to discount my experience. I am heavily involved in motorsports in general, and am at the track on average a good 50+ times a year. Again, I never even hinted that you didn't have what it takes to organize an event. You took that one all on by yourself.
yes, you're a bitch and a cheap little (track) ***** just like me.

I might be a bitch, but I'm far from cheap.

Thanks for the compliments about my street car...I have made the decision that this one will not become a track car.
Due to the arrival of our baby, I sold my race car, incidentally to the guy who owns the rig that was posted here earlier ( the Cayenne towing the Cup car), another POC warrior.
I am getting ready for another race car though, however this time I am going to buy one that is already built and competitive...lesson learned from the previous two projects

I getcha, Loan. Family first. Which makes Frank's statement about you being a 'keyboard warrior' highly unfair. There have been times when I could not afford to go to the races or track days. So maybe we should all take a step back and realize that current situations prevail. I would hate to be basically called a 'wannabe' just because I am currently not able to go and do what I want. I understand your situation completely, and CONGRATS!
