Default Is there a cease and desist order in Ack Me Engineering's future?

Have you guys noticed how liberally Looney Tunes characters are sprinkled through the web pages of Ack Me Eng's website?

Do you think the world-traveling CEO secured the right to use these characters in AckMe's advertising?

Does anyone know the e-mail address of the Time Warner legal department?
(I could only find the corporate site -- www.aoltimewarner.com)

Even before I was awarded my J.D. by the mango'd mullet, I knew something about intellectual property and the importance of protecting it.

Those corporate lawyers be downright mean when someone steals their property.
I sure hope Fwank has permission to use it, or it could be vewy, vewy expenive for Fwankie

You ain't kidding. I once lifted some Ghost Busters images for my paranormal investigation business and when the boys from Columbia Pictures tracked me down it was not pretty.

There is no doubt on my mind that the mango rump rangler has not a clue as to what "intellectual property" might be. But, I can come up with the contact for the Corporate Hounds at LT. There was a time we licensed a couple of there characters, along with the rodent from Disney (THERE is a fun group to deal with! ).

Sorry to hear that... Did it cost you five figures or six, Sean?

I do know the those two companies do not like their rodents and vermin mixed

I had some dealing with the folks in the magic kingdom as well. And I agree.

High 5 figures and some other nasty bits. You'll note that I can't point you to a website that promotes my business.

You can also get Fox involved for the Stewie pic, Exxon-Mobil for the Esso guy.

It's sat in the back of my mind but he has yet to really **** me off to the point of calling the dogs. I would do some screen captures just to preserve the evidence.

How about the Time Warner General Council, who should be able to fire up some interesting activities for DP:

Time-Warner Inc.
Paul T. Cappucio
Executive Vice President and General Council
One Time Warner Center
New York, NY 10019

or your guy at Warner Bros. Entertainment would be:

Warner Bros Entertainment
John A. Schulman
Executive Vice President and General Counsel
4000 Warner Blvd
Burbank, CA 91522-0002

GR, seriously, this can turn into some nasty sh*t. I've got the letters and canceled checks to prove it. I'm sure that you have counsel, but if you don't, I'd line some up. They will come after you at some point. The movie studios and big companies in general hire paralegals to google their trademarks all day and track down offenders. They can't afford to let even the smallest guys abuse their marks or they lose the ability to protect them.

need not worry. i <3 talking to lawyers. i remember few years ago we (well, not me, but somebody i knew) got a letter from Lockee (sp?) Martin for using Skunkworks... it was pretty lame. Since skunkworks is used so generically now days. But the law is the law... that's why skunkworks racing project became skunk2.
