No turds, I finished in 4th place in all 3 classes I ran, against much better prepped cars. Not only were the other cars lighter but more powerful as well. They are suppose to win... no excuses, just the facts. We (WRX owner Henry and myself) are very happy with our initial performance. Come April (which is coming up pretty fast) we should be able to put up some much improved times... the delly-ohh will double the power and be slightly lighter as well as getting a better suspension. the WRX will get lighter and a fully built engine as well... it's going to be great. Two other time attack cars should be ready for me to use as well. These are all long time friends' shop cars...

The Subaru WRX STI (if that's the WRX you are referring to) is certainly no slouch. A tuned stock engine can produce up to 300 hp on 12 pounds of boost! One of our instructors has a beefed-up WRX STI (race prepared). He's wicked fast in that thing. Then again, he's probably fast in just about anything. ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I think the one he is talking about is a regular WRX.
It's not close to stock as he says it is either.
It has a big FMIC which genrally indicates a bigger turbo, injectors, exhaust(up/down pipes) and engine management. It would easily be putting down 350-400 with those few bolt ons.

Yeah, a bigger intercooler never hurts. I haven't seen the instructor I mentioned for about eight months (he's been too busy racing and working on the car), but last I talked to him he said they are going to put a bigger engine in there and go for 400+ hp in the car! Holy smokes! Like he's not fast enough. I like the WRX STIs. Nice looking grocery-getters that can haul butt.
