All I can say is my mad tyte dofrito racer for the 24 next year is gonna be the droved the fastest.
Of course it'll be in the 24 hours of LeMons. Right now we are working on finding the car and 2 more drivers but I'll be sure to bench race the crap out of the 500 dollar POS next winter all the time. I love the fact that they say in their rules that they accept a license from a long list of organizations but then go on to say that if you don't have one of those you can pay 90 bucks and just get handed a NASCAR license.
Applications are being taken for qualified and funded drivers
Creativity and general self ridicule strongly suggested. Use of sledgehammer, knowledge of cheap whiskey and beer a required. Droving skills optional. Sorry GR you still don't qualify and heres a hint... It don't have to do with droving.
Also suggestions for a car are being taken under consideration. We are looking into the following
Renault LeCar
2CV
Subaru Brat
Diesel Rabbit in full Audi diesel racing colors courtesy of Krylon
Hearse of some sort
500 bucks max for car and everything in it excluding cost of safety equipment, tires and brakes.

No, I have always said it was boring and not well shot, but technically acceptable.....
Who should I send the sneak preview?

I guess this is near & dear to many Porsche owners... Anyway, it lasted 3 sessions on Saturday before major clutch slippage, followed by the Exxon Valdez under it after I parked it. I guess the fact that 20,000 of those miles were on a track may have had something to do with this.
Love the Woodford. Please have an extra swig for me.

I had similar luck, my stub axle and hub broke at MSR on Saturday on my third session. This is the second time they've needed the dolly for my car. Hopefully Todd will fix it in time.

Yes, I plan to, George. I should be able to get it fixed by then.
Frankly, this is the first serious problem I have ever had with that car (not counting the broken radiator I had at MSR 2 years ago, which was a normal wear & tear item with crappy OWM radiator components).
I am very lucky I was trailering the car rather than driving it to/from the track as I used to do.
Sorry to hear about those things breaking. I am glad it didn't cause you a serious off.

Update on my car: initial diagnostic is the input shaft on the tranny blew a seal and it is transmission fluid and not a rear main seal.
