Default Front wheel width?

Does anyone here have a solid answer as to why the GT4 uses a slightly narrower front wheel than the GT3 which uses the same tire and allegedly the same front suspension? Thanks in advance and if this has been covered in an old thread I am sorry, search is not my friend.

The offset is also different. Some of this goes towards handling. Keep in mind the Porsche hierarchy.

I also had the same question. Ended up running a 15mm spacer for the whole of 2016. Earlier this year i upgraded to new Advan RSII wheels and they are 9" and proper offset. Check this link of my car with the new wheels.
