Bump for any tips/DIY directions for the seat belt swap. Seen a thread for the 987 but not 981.

I believe the 981 and the 991 share the same door cards, no?

judging from this picture.. it would seem that the entire assembly unscrews from the door, and that those of us who have "normal" gt3 handles, not RS straps, could change these out to move to do a strap conversion.. am I missing something?

Those are melted heat stakes... so you would have to drill out each one of those plastic attachments, and then attempt to re-attach the new one with screws instead.

This is what you'll see if you pull your door (and remove the metal door handle brackets):

EDIT: yes, you could swap in an entire RS door card as well...

Thanks for the DIY, CarAholic.

It is certainly fun to do and the price is right.

Help! I have tried to match my Miami blue seat belts with a 1” nylon web strap. I ended up getting close with the Country Brook Design “Ice Blue”. When I tried to get my wife’s take on similarities and she rolled her eyes and said, “not even close”. Does anyone have a lead on an exact match webbing for the Miami blue seat belts to match my door pulls? Thanks for the help.
