Default How to measure ride height

I measured mine today using the factory procedure from their measurement points. The service manual spec is X73 F=116 mm +_10mm R 143Mm+_10mm so the GT4 should be 10mm lower.

Mine was 113.88&113.08F 135.74&133.28R ..i have a custom made ride height gauge that i developed for when i was setting up my lotus. Accurate to .2mm(.008) and repeatable.

With the 10mm the height drop from the X73. The factory spec for the GT4 ride height is( F 106 +_10 = 96-116MM) (R133+_10=123-143MM) with less than 5mm difference side to side.carl

Very clever Carl. Might be able to get a few tenths more camber if your car is set too high?

Thanks, problem is I'd like to drop it but it would make it even harder to use around here . That measurement was my first GT 4..I haven't measured my new one as it has only has 350 mi .

I did set the front camber got -1.9& -1.5 I will recheck @ 1000 miles and the ride height. Carl

How did you set the front at -1.9 camber? Were you able to achieve this using what was on the car?

yes on both of my GT4s i was able to get -1.9 on the front by maxing out the strut. on both cars the right side would go to -2.1 but the left only -1.9 so i matched them. this is with 155 lbs weight in the drivers seat and floor on slip plates.

just measured my new GT4 with 360 mi and full tank. LF 110.23 RF 110.21 LR 135.00 RR 134.15. The front is 3mm lower than my first GT4 with 1000 mi on it when measured, the rear is the same. Will check again @1000mi.

Does anyone have a photo of the locations of the factory measurement spots or a clear description of where they are?
