here we go............
Short version:
will you be tracking the car frequently and can you drive (honestly)?
if the answer is no. go on go for yellow.
if the answer is yes (to both), then the answer is less obvious..............and the rational choice is steel.

Not really interested in rehashing the PCCB vs steel argument. I agree with what my dealer told me, if you track the car, you need fresh pads and have to know not to push the pads beyond full wear point that way the PCCBs will not warp. Never tested this personally, but sounds logical to me...

Pccb don't warp.. The coating on them gets worn.. They remain same thickness.
You'd think Porsche, which by the way lists PCCB as among the few "recommended" options on the configurator... Would provide some info/guidance on this very well-discussed durability question regarding ceramics. With an option which approaches 10% of purchases price, it would seem that they would really go to pains to describe the "improved" gen III pccb rather than leaving us guessing like this.
How many of us who were on the fence ab pccb ended up taking the (very welcome) advice from track guys and err'd on the side of caution rather than risk the unknown? Big mistake on Porsche's part IMO

I'm going ceramic because it'll go nicely with the yellow deviated stitching in my white GT4
Ok I go hide now but before I do I'm planning to track it 3-4 times before I sell it (keep toys for a year or two) and relative to guys on this forum, I'm easily a lower than average driver (except when I'm in my 991 turbo and the car does all the thinking for me)
