OT: Cayman GT4

If a Cayman GT4 is coming, it isn't in the next year or two and I definitely wouldn't skip on the 991 GT3 or GT3 RS to wait for it.

I've noted it several times in other threads where we've been discussing the future of Porsche GT cars. With the uncertainly of emissions regulations and fleet MPG requirements, there will definitely be changes. Forget about the Cayman GT4 - I just want my 991-GT3.
My first Porsche was a Cayman S back in 2006. Great freakin car. Very predictable but just short on about 100 hp. But, it did tend to drive itself and take a slight bit of involvement out of it because it was "idiot proof". I do prefer a car that you need to tame a bit. It is like chasing women- you need a little challenge

That's exactly why I sold my Boxster Spyder.
But aside from horsepower, is the 991 GT3 not similar?

2016 McLaren P13: McLaren's Answer to the Porsche 911
Well if Porsche won't do it... McLaren is starting to look like a good focused brand to jump ship to.
"Corstorphine insists that no McLaren remotely on anyone's wish list has more that two seats."

Porsche could be lazy and give it the 3.8 X51 with the PDK-S. What would really be interesting is taking the 3.4 and giving it the same attention the GT3 engine had. Since it's not their hardcore halo car, maybe give the option of the 6-speed as well. With the GT3's engine coming in at 125hp/L, doing the same for the 3.4 would put it at 425hp which seems just about right for Porsche marketing (since you would technically be able to get a 991S with more power).

So true, so true! But you know they'll make them anyway...
I seem to recall reading a quote attributed to Ferdinand Porsche which went something like this:
"I wanted to make a car that wasn't something to everyone, but was everything to someone."
Seems Porsche, in its chase for volume, is doing the exact opposite these days.
