That alleged GT4 Touring mule doesn't appear to be based on a GT4 proto at all. The wheels and the brakes aren't the same sizes as that of GT4's. The rear diffuser is shallow. Yes, the exhaust pipes are of same config, which could be the new design standard to accommodate the diffuser (shallow or not). It could be the Cayman 6. So, there may not be a GT4 Touring but a Cayman 6 with NA engine.

The 718 has been made at both Osnabrück and Stuttgart factories and the 981 GT4 was made on the same line as the base, S and GTS models. Duplicate tooling, just factory capacity management.

Incidentally, Osnabrück is one of the now rare car plants where they press body parts in-house.

It will be launched July 4 at Goodwood - 2pm UK time

Details and deposits taken late May in the UK at least (the 981 GT4 deposits taken early February 2015 and Geneva launch early March 2015)

All in the UK dealer product marketing plans.

What are you hearing for deliveries? End of 2019? Early 2020?

If deposits are taken late may that would surmise that an online debut will happen in May as well.

Had great experience with my first porsche for quality. Loved my car was built by machines that were built by Germans. Any build quality impact from the shift in factories? I believe the Osnabrueck factory is in Germany as well.

old article, also I think pricing is way off, no way 99K pound starting price, maybe 99K USD but even that would be a big jump. Thinking more like 95-96K starting.

Members who have deposits on these cars are going to get a another great car! The article indicates Porsche is staying with a 3.8L six & unbridling some additional ponies : )
Amazing they were able to shave off an additional 50kg's !
I really love the 981 GT4 and not surprised they've jacked the price, which is good for 981 owner's cars holding their value.
