Are those the new CS springs in the picture above? 140 N/mm = 800 pound/inch front? I think I remember the old ones being 200 N/mm. What are the new rear springs? (old were 220 N/mm)

Unsure on spring rates. I'll have to look at the car the next chance I get. The bent strut in the pic is the 2017 upgraded damper. Car is WAY more compliant now. Old dampers and how wet it was would have been a disaster.

All in all a very enjoyable trip. Just wish it hadn't been cut short by an overzealous Cup driver that tried to take T19 at an impossible speed, ultimately spinning into me and ending my weekend.

Lots of fun Friday, not so much Saturday-Sun
Busy working Black Flag for the DE sessions

I remember that the flag stations can be hard to see from the one time I've been there. Plus the DE lines were so long that by the time the last one went on track the first were coming around; i.e. getting one lap less driving.

Has visibility not improved to those flag stations? Did most of that happen during the rain?

No excuse imho. Checker was waving at elevated station after T20 onto the front straight. Then waving black (same meaning) at all stations from T-11, so 11,12,15,16,19. Agree first time at COTA, can be hard to pick them up, but by Sat drivers should have known the drill.

No excuses after Dave Scott read them the riot act during drivers meetings.
To miss that many flags you have to be not looking rain or no rain
We banned driver from next session
One runner even ran out of gas on his victory lap
I heard every excuse, non worked but some I enjoyed hearing

The flag stations are no harder to see than the apexes. Oh wait, hardly anybody saw those, either.

That one was the best... karma's a bitch.

But when HALF the track has waving black flags at the stations, and you're still running... then you have no business on the track at all.

Come to think of it, punishment should have been to make them work a flag station for the rest of the weekend.

Dave... listening?
