911 GT3 Manual 4.0 or Cayman GT4RS - which to choose?

GT4 RS for me since GT3 is too rich for my blood. But PDK is a must. Did the manual thing and not impressed. Not because the manual is not epic or anything or that I don't enjoy a manual. I just can't accept putting in something as antiquated as a manual to pair with such an awesome quick revving motor. I don't experience any extra joy in rowing my own gears vs hitting a paddle.

I have no desire for the 911R. If I could get one I would buy one and flip it for $200,000 over.
I am a "wing" man and the 911R does not look special enough for me. I think the GT4 looks a lot better.
Sure - the Performance is great but needs to tick more boxes for me

Yep, GT4 RS would be my choice due to mid engine chassis. The next Gen GT3, while probably awesome with 4.0, would be just incremental over the current, while a GT4 RS, with noticeably more power, would seem to be a bigger delta in performance over current GT4.

4L GT3 w/ PDK-S for me, if the price increase is reasonable (probably) and configurable allocations at MSRP are readily available (not likely). Absent that, .2GTS.

Was at my dealer today, no information and no waitlist available on the next GT4, RS or otherwise. They said it's still just rumors and nothing from Porsche yet. I told them I was willing to leave a deposit anyways and they said no. Who knows.

As we will see neither car, it's a moot question imo.

How about: whichever one actually comes out.
The odds of a manual-trans GT3 are pretty good, especially given the demand for the GT4 and the 911R. The odds of a GT4 RS? Well, we probably have better odds of winning the lottery.

If they build a GT3 MT, and I'm fortunate enough to have an allocation, I can't see turning it down. It could be the last chance to own a true GT car with a manual.
I'll take whatever sacrifices it might take to purchase it, even if it's not the ideal time financially, knowing that if I don't love it, or for some reason can't see keeping it, I'll be able to sell it after a year or two for either no or minimal loss, no problem. Or for a profit. It's a no brainer.

No one has any info or confirmation on the GT4RS.

I'll take that bet "mrd_spy" (aka Mortimer). Our usual bet...$1?
The 991.2 GT3 in a manual is a given...why else would Porsche spec the 911R with a manual and spend the money to develop the 6-speed tranny?
As for the OP questions, I want the 991.2 GT3RS but will settle initially for the GT4 RS assuming PDK-S and a 4.0l not to be below 450hp. My current GT4 MSRP was $127k so hoping and expecting the GT4RS to start in the $120's with a $135k+ nicely equipped. This should be more than enough scratch for Porsche to do the car correctly.
