Default Tire Fitment

Has anyone run this setup on oem offsets? Foresee any challenges?

Wanted to go 255f and 305r but tire selection not great. Can do 245/35-20 and 305/30-20 in the Trofeo R but not MPSC2.

It would be +3%f and -1.5%r diameter change.

Tried a search but came up empty for gt4

Rear should be okay. Front will not be okay. The way people fit wider front tires is by simultaneously going shorter. (smaller diameter)

if you're still on OE 8.5in front width, stick with the OE spec 245-35-20, if on 20x9.0 front width, max is 255-35-20

I'm a GT4 newbie after years on BMWs. Curious as to why your stating the the 255/35 on the 8.5 OE wheel will be a problem. Is there a rubbing issue or stability control issue? From a tire wheel fitment perspective the 255/35 tires are spec'd to fit on 8.5 width wheels.

Chasen was the one talking about 265 being too wide for 8.5, not me, but he's right regardless! It's better to have the tire well supported by the rim, you get a bigger contact patch. In fact the GT3 uses 9 inch wide rims with 245s and the GT3 RS uses 9.5 inch wheels with 265s.

I was saying that no matter how wide your rim is, 265/35-20 isn't going to fit. It's a tire that is both wider AND taller than stock. People do run 265 width, but they run 265/35-19, not 20. So they are running a wider tire that is a smaller diameter that stock, which works.

In summary:
245/35-20 diameter= 26.8 inches, width=245mm (I'm being lazy here, but you get my drift) -> :-)
265/35-19 diameter = 26.3 inches, width 265mm -> :-)
265/35-20 diameter = 27.3 inches, width 265mm -> :-(
