$38,000 since you would be paying the full development cost of the 1-2 kit... Lol

i aint no 41k gearbox guineapig!

but split 6 ways or more with your hong kong buyer and some others? Would that work?

Maybe the first enterprising few get intellectual property rights and a piece of future sales? =)

I will leave it to you guys do to some math. As I said before, $2500 is less than my cost to make. But lets pretend that is cost. Adding in $25,000 development cost. How many units is the break even point at a $4000 retail price?

Hint: nowhere near 6.

18 1-2 sets with additional gears at $1095 plus lsd plus misc.

GT, where are you located? If we could get 18 paid commits, how long would it be to get first few boxes in and on the street?

I manufacture parts for racing. 1 lap warranty.

I'm going to request you guys use the other thread if you want to talk about this. It's off topic of what Pete was discsussing.

Guys, I'm not looking for investors. I'm not selling design rights. If enough serious buyers step forward I will make them. And it will be about a year...

Back on the original topic. An earlier post suggested to swap in the transmission from the 2.7. Apparently that was going to fix the gear spacing and strength was assumed to be the same.
What about that?
Is it this simple?

You forgot the links on the build and price website that'll give that option.
