For around town I like Japanese taxi driver gloves. I also put those covers on my seats to keep my seats perfect. I get some looks but ... whatever this is la you see weirder things.
For the track I use alpine stars racing gloves. They're the business. But not as soft as those taxi driver gloves.
I use those too but find it works much better if I wear the hat!!
I did buy some thin North Face Gloves that I use only on my right hand because the aluminum **** mod is too freakin cold now that the weather has dropped
I want a glove that it won't wear down the alcantara of the steeling wheel.
Stand 21 entered into an agreement with Porsche last year to come out with a Rennsport line of driving gear (suits, helmets, shoes, etc.) and these are the Rennsport gloves. Very retro in appearance, but the quality is definitely there (as reflected in the price): FIA and SFI certified, aramid jersey material for fire protection, all external seams, black premium leather palm inserts w/red contrasting stitching, great Porsche logo across the knuckles and beautiful crest on the sleeve -- just stunning looking gloves.
I don't track, but do drive with the top down during the winter months and bought these primarily to keep my hands warm. Use of these gloves has kept my alcantara wheel looking like new.
