A good all-GT4, no-hood-up, no battery-uncover solution is to get the good
NOCO Genius smart charger, and buy their OBD-II connecter. Then just
plug your charger into the OBD-II port under your steering wheel.
I bought the G3500. $75. Their support is exemplary. I was communicating
with them while trying to figure out why the cigarette-lighter charging was
failing. We found it was Porsche's fault, but in consideration for my troubles
they sent me the OBD-II connector to work around the issue, for free.

Thanks! Sounds like a stand-up company. So you just plug into the OBD-II and run the wire out the door? Do you close the door on the wire?
Yes. I just plug it into the OBD-II port, and within a few times I am able to
do it without even looking, but the first time you should probably find where
the port is, first in the manual, then in the car with a flashlight.
The small inline fuse-box stays in the car, and the cable is thin enough
that I just have it drape across the door sill and close the door. If you'd
rather, you could leave your window open a crack for the cable, or extension
cord, and have the charger inside too, on the floor.
Cetek on my C2S for last 2 yrs. permanent connection to battery terminals, no need to attach neg to body nut. (Just a safety thing in case of spark when attaching.). Pop frunk and plug in, close lid to first click. Actually don't need it much except for over 2 week trips.
