I got P2099 today. 4700 miles, fabspeed sport headers. Sigh.

aryork: did you get my post on P9? The cause of the problem is identified, and the solution is known. I am certain my solution will resolve the problem, and prevent it from recurring.

Issue has been determined by aryork and will soon be resolved, thanks for chiming in Phil!

"John, thanks. That indeed was the problem. All bolts were loose to some extent and on one side (left side) I had lost 5 of the 9 bolts completely!"

Replacing the bolts caused the CEL to go away. Yeah! But, it came back on after I lost one other bolt. I had the OEM gaskets, but had not had time to put them on yet. Did that yesterday and drove it to work today and CEL went off! I used the proper tightening sequence, so hopefully this is a permanent solution.

I do not have the Fabspeed headers but have another set of LT headers on. I have car scheduled for an oil change today and will have them also check the bolts to make sure nothing has loosened up. Each oil change I have them check and so far so good

Question for you guys...if the bolt torque is 22 ft lb and you have a clean line to the bolt head, all is well. But, when you have to use an angle connector to get to the bolt head (as is the case with these headers), isn't some of the torque eaten up, so to speak, by the mechanical linkage? So would I use, say, 10% more, like 24 ft lb?
