Fantastic looking GT4. Did you opt for the matching carmine gauge faces?

Did you keep the '73 911, Dan? Bring that GT4 down to Qualcomm for an AX--it's been awhile!

Hey Tom!! I had the 73 for a while as well but was offered a very fair price and sold it.

Unfortunately being the surface is so bad at Qualcomm I wont be ax'ing there but will def come down to see everyone. I will probably run El Toro a few times, surface is smooth and no breaking up.

I know its a long way for you but there is an ax there on the 30th of oct. if you want to come up!

Come on down Oct. 22 and check it out. The stadium authority patched the lots extensively last year and they aren't breaking up as bad anymore, but they did introduce some bumpiness and loose gravel with the patches. It's not as bad as it was, though. I ran with OCR at El Toro 3 times last season to qualify for the Zone 8 AX championship, but I'm not competing in the zone series this year, just the SD regional series. It's only a 90-minute drive up there early in the morning, not too bad. Getting home in the afternoon is another matter, though. It's a good venue for sure, but flat as a pancake. The elevation changes at the Q are always fun--more on and off camber elements, as you know.

Both venues will probably be gone in a year or two if the Chargers leave town and the housing market stays hot enough for the developers to close in on El Toro, so we have to enjoy what we have while we've got them!

I sold all my air-cooled cars, too--getting too old to work on them anymore. It's nice to have a warranty.
C'ya,
