Brey Krause R-1046 Harness Mount Truss
I just got an email from Brey Krause about this Harness Mount Truss. It fits on the existing truss behind the carpet that is behind the seats!

I am going to install the Heigo Roll Bar offered by FVD. I think that harness bar may be a bit too high, and this BK part will be a great way to secure my belts at the proper 0 to 20 degrees angle.

I did call and speak to Ian with BK about the development and testing they have performed. I am interested to see how it works and will post pics once installed.

Price is $199.95 per. I do not know the exact height but I know that they sit right in the middle of Recaro Profi XL harness holes and the high can be adjusted up to 1.5" to better fit seat/driver.

If you want to get the car back together and looking stock interior-wise, then you have to cut a slit in the firewall carpet at the top to let the belts pass through, plus you have to trim some of the underside of the top center plastic trim (the long one that has the aluminum bar on top of it). Those cuts aren't visible once re-installed, but are necessary to let it clear the BK harness hardware...
But since the firewall carpet and upper trim are so easy to remove (and the BK harness mount appears easy to install), you can always just remove the carpet and trim and install the harness mount for track days, and then un-install afterward (depending on how often you go).

You don't need to cut the carpet or trim as long as you don't mind running harnesses without the firewall carpet or center trim installed...

trimming the cover as little as possible just fit my bill!
I am 6''2 so the lowered position of the BK mount will fit right through the upper opening of the GT4 buckets and angled level on my shoulder perfectly I assumed. Can't wait to try that out!

And for those doing lots more days per year and aren't interested in a harness bar (either for looks / utility reasons or because they don't believe it adds safety benefit) it just needs a subtle carpet slit and you are good to go for a more permanent install.

First units shipped yesterday. Seems to have gathered quite a bit of interest in a short time.

I spoke to both Paragon and Brey Krause and unfortunately neither mentioned that you needed to buy additional parts to actually attach the belts.
So much for trying this thing out at Sonoma Raceway this weekend. Bummer...
