Congrats on the new car and thanks for the story! Sounds like you had some bad luck early on, but I'm sure that now you are properly insured.

I drove the M3/M4/M5 at BMW's performance center, and I came away quite impressed with what they will do, and the abuse that they will take. I didn't buy one for various reasons, but I think you summarized it nicely - a BMW makes a better everyday car, but really nothing drives as well as a Porsche.

I almost drove the Boxster today, but this morning as I'm loading up I thought, eh, I just don't feel like shifting today (traffic was a bear yesterday). So I jumped in the BMW and cruised to work. There's always the weekend.

Went out the other night to snap some midnight photos. Didn’t bring my tripod, but made due with a bit of improvisation.

Ran into an X6M and a 340i when I drove up to the top of a random rooftop parking lot.

Funny thing happened...I was taking a long exposure but realized right away that I wasn't happy with the composition, so I picked up my camera to it to another spot. This was the result.
