Charles or Jaime,

Will race headers by themselves improve sound?

Default Dundon GT4 Race Headers Revision 2 update, 34whp gains (no tune), 53whp gains (tune)

Hi Guys,

You asked for big gains without a tune... Here you go.

Dundon GT4 ver2 Headers (no tune) vs Stock car

Stock Car vs Dundon GT4 Race Headers No Tune
36lbft at 3700rpm
35lbft and 34whp at 5000rpm
22whp at 6400rpm
28whp at 7000rpm
33whp at 7500rpm

For those looking for a bit more we have that too!

Dundon GT4 version 2 Race Headers with DMS Stage 2 tune.

Dundon GT4 ver2 Race Headers with DMS Stage 2 Tune!
43lbft/30whp at 3600rpm
56lbft/53whp at 5000rpm
30whp at 6400rpm
36whp at 7000rpm
40whp at 7500rpm

These are our interim results, still tweaking and still working on the final tune, we're working with Cobb to get a few more maps opened up so we can make it even better! Mitch is in Europe this week on a vacation, so we'll give him a pass... till next week!

If someone has one to send to us to test we'll be happy to. We're interested to show the data for this mod!

Impressive, indeed! So, as a matter of interest, what is the history of Porsche's reaction to headers when it comes to warranty work?

Also, these are for the non-cat headers, right? I'm assuming that you trigger a CEL without a tune?

Warranty work and mods is always an open book and as I always say coming from a dealer tech myself 10+ years ago, your relationship with the dealer will go a long way.

Traditionally Porsche hadn't had an issue with exhaust mods. We're testing an improvement to our defouler setup to keep the CEL at bay without a tune. Taking my 991GT3 to the track on Friday to punish the solution to ensure it holds up!

If a tune is in the cards (and with the powerband gains everyone should consider it) the nice thing with using the Cobb Accessport for tuning is you can put it back to stock, remove it and put it back on the car easily and quickly if you need to take it in for service...

Nice result! Out of curiosity, did you need to tweak the exhaust valve opening to prevent too much pressure build up and a blurt / lurch when finally opened?

Great results. Are the Rev 2 headers the final form or are more tweaks still being checked.
