Default Exhaust and headers

It seems to me that most GT4 exhaust video on youtube has after market exhaust and headers.

Most of the Fabspeed and IPE video are with both headers and exhaust.

If I am not looking to add power, just looking to for a louder sound. How much does changing just the exhaust add? Anyone has only done the exhaust?

I think if you were just going to change exhaust and add volume check to see if Fabspeed has a video clip of their valvetronic exhaust with OEM headers. Their exhaust seems pretty loud and you keep the valves

Fabspeed valvetronic exhaust is very good.

When in quiet mode, it's possible to use the bluetooth handsfree system. When I added the IPD plenum, the interior got a loud drone through the "sound symposer" caused by change in resonance and damping in intake system vs. stock. Noting to do with the fabspeed exhaust.

^ Good to know about the plenum's impact on cabin noise. I wasn't seriously considering it any time soon, but that tidbit probably takes it off the table entirely at least as long as I drive mine on the road a fair amount.

Do you want to keep the PSE (valves) operational or can you live with one setting (loud) all the time? That's the first question you need to answer as it will define in which direction to go.

In that case you can go valveless (deactivating the PSE). There are a couple of systems that are single patch/valveless. Some benefits include lower weight, more power and les $$$$$. I personally have the Cargraphics Race Cup with Mufflers and the sound with sport headers is just awesome. With Race headers it may be a bit too much.

IMO the stock GT4 exhaust is perfect!

I think the stock exhaust was very well done. I do not think any one will be disappointed. I think if it were louder some would complain. For those like me who want more there are options to accomplish this.

I will say this, compared to my 991 GT3 which had the SW Rear Bypass; the GT4 sounds better(tone) but above 7000 to 9000 nothing will compare to that shriek in the GT3. The 9000 redline allows one to experience what very few will ever.

The video is just exhaust with stock headers? Sound epic!

The Porsche Exchange here told me they just installed one on a GT4. I think it is some one here on Rennlist. They said is sounded great and loud as heck. If I was going to stick with valves this would be my first choice.
