^It is funny you say that. Since Jan I have lost 25 lbs and all of the above true. Not that I was fat by any means but too much beer and wine and figured need to look good for the summer. I am 46 and I am now 10 lbs. off my College weight. I used my car as motivation - get it from where ever you can
What are the options to further reduce weight for a GT4 that already has LWB and CCB (without drastic measures like taking out the passenger seat etc.).
Are there engine components made from carbon fiber?
What after market exhaust system sounds great, reduces significant amount of weight, and still passes smog requirements?
Personally, with LWBs and PCCBs, I will be looking at the battery first followed by race headers (for the power, weight side benefit) to get me under 3000lbs full tank. I like the OEM wheels too much to change those out.
If you want to save some more weight, scrap the LWBs for aftermarket buckets. They aren't much lighter than the standard seats anyways.
The whole lose weight thing is kind of funny, but the way I look at it is as a challenge for the car itself. I enjoy the challenge of setting a target for the machine and reaching it.
Proper diet and exercise is a sure bet to lose 30-40 pounds, get that beer belly down. Look better/feel better/feel younger...and BTW,I forgot...your GT4 will be lighter with you in it.
You know, I see this a lot, and it's true to some extent. But two of the fastest drivers out here are 260lb+. One's in an NA Miata and one's in a 700+whp Evo and both have multiple track records.

I just picked a random "lose weight" post to make the point on. I get the overall health benefits, not arguing that, I just always giggle a little when I see that suggestion made.
It's meant to be entertaining, but the truth is there.
Many would stop complaining about the difficulty of entering and exiting LWBs,feeling too snug, bottoming out, heavy clutch etc.

That just means they're that much better than others, further making the case that the driver mod is the best mod. But it doesn't mean they wouldn't be even faster if they weighed less.
My Son and I were checking out a Black Lotus Evora at dinner last night that was parked outside. Really nice looking package but looked so small but not in a bad way. I like small cars. I looked up the weight and it is slightly over 3000 lbs. Hard to believe the my GT4 will weight about the same.
So- I looked up the US weight for an Alpha 4C and that will be about 2900 lbs - 342 lbs more than the European version.

Now are they like a linebacker 260 or a jabba the hutt 260?
Factory GT4 wheels weigh around 23lbs front and 25-26lbs rear so you can easily save some weight on that if you wanted to dive down to the 19" sizing for example. Meanwhile the R101 weights are fantastic:
HRE R101:
19x8.5 - 19.50lbs ~
19x10.5 - 20.50lbs ~
That's saving you 3.5lbs per wheel up front and about 5lbs per wheel for the rears for a total of around 17-18lbs
I just wanted to chime in and let you all know that we have the manufacturing capability to accomplish almost anything. If you are looking for a custom exhaust, such as a lightweight competition-spec system, we would be happy to accommodate the request and build you a one-off

Any weight saved with the p101 with the standard 20 inch wheel?
