Has any one installed a tune with a Lithium battery in your Porsche??
The reason is I heard these tunes can really drain your battery while copying file to be sent out and also installing the new tune. I have been hesitant to put in the Braille Lithium until I install the tune.
Any advice welcomed
I have seen the warnings, but have never heard of anyone bricking their ECU as a result of battery running out mid application. Having said that, would you want to take the risk? If you have a charger connected it shouldn't matter, but if not I would keep the standard battery when applying the tune.

Now need to schedule Install. I think may try to get done before July 4th weekend. I just do not like rushing things.
I do not know if I should just do the headers and exhaust next week since I only have 650 miles and wait another month before installing tune and TB/Plenum. What do you all think??? I also would like to do it in stages to see if I can tell the difference on each stage. Do you think I will have any issues with just the exhaust and Sport headers installed??.. I also wonder if I will throw a CEL because FVD has said it is slightly possible because they had a couple thrown but they could not completely attribute it to the Headers because other things were manipulated.
The concept of the sport headers is they perform the same job as the standard manifold only with freer flowing exhaust. Would be surprised if they threw a CEL that didn't go away by itself.
With regards to applying the mods, I would personally hold off on all of them until the car is broken in properly. Exploring the car in its natural state and then steadily applying mods extends the lifetime of enjoyment.
Here are pictures of the Ceramic Coated Tips that were just finished - CCP Coatings in Detroit did them which were recommended on this forum. I can not wait to have the headers and exhaust installed on 7/7
With new Headers and exhaust do you have to take some time to break them in or are you good to go right out of the box??
No break-in required...on the exhaust you may get fumes on the first 100 miles as the internals of the mufflers get cured from the heat. Also the tone of the exhaust will change.....
Dropped car off at the Dealer at noon. New Headers and valveless exhaust going on and will be picking her up tomorrow afternoon. I can not wait to hear how this exhaust set-up will sound. I am thinking it will be "killer". - should teach my neighbors to be nice
Also, Lithium battery going in so between Battery and new exhaust about 50 lbs coming out of her.

Fortunately one of my neighbors is into drag boats so he's a bit of a gearhead and doesn't mind. The other has a dog that barks at it's shadow and I consider it payback.
Jimmy, It will be interesting to hear your thoughts on your new system.
We would love to oblige any interest and are ready to get started on fabricating yours when ready
The link to your website takes you to a set of tips like your photos in this post with no x-pipe. Is there a part on your website for these tips with x-pipe and that also fit the standard GT4 exhaust system?
^ Yes - I bought them for the OEM exhaust but when I decided to go with a valveless exhaust and figured that they would not fit on another Mfg exhaust we were able to cancel before shipment. John was aware that this might be the case so every one was fine.

We are still working on integrating the Brushed Tips into our website for those that do not have our X-Pipe. The total for the Brushed Tips with the required X-Pipe for fitment on the 981 would be $695. This combination cannot be ordered on the website at this time, so please feel free to call me directly at 215 646 4945
Okay - I picked up my car 2 hours ago with the new headers and exhaust. Will also post fotos this weekend of install. I really do not know how to put it bit I am really impressed. My expectation was set high but not only did it live up to my expectation but threw me a little curve. First - before I really make any substantiated claims I need more than 90 minutes in the car. So, to begin- I had both the FVD LT headers and cats installed with their valveless exhaust. I was sick of hitting that button and wanted the valves always open. Now - it would be difficult to tell if I did not get the exhaust and just had their headers if all would still be equal.- Do not know
To begin- when I showed up to pick her up I asked the Master Mechanic, who installed it, what he thought. He said that it was not as loud as the Fabspeed he installed a couple months ago but he also only took my car around the block and that is it. He then said what really hit him most is there is (0) drone which surprised him. I did not ask him why surprised because I just wanted to get in and go( but he is correct - no drone). So, when he said it was not that loud I kind of got a little down but I had yet to fire her up. So - I asked for the key so I can listen to her before I headed to cashier to pay. He came over with another Mechanic and I fired her up. She sounded really good but not much louder but certainly had more bass/substance to her. I revved her to 5000 rpm a couple times and I could not stop smiling. She revved quicker, which surprise me, and She was certainly louder but what surprised me most is She has now a slightly diffferent exhaust note. She sounds freakin beautiful. Not any high pitch sound but more bass but 100% Porsche in every way. So far- it may be the best sounding Porsche I have heard that maintained the Porsche sound . And let me explain - the GT4 exhaust is wonderful. This new set up increased her sound by volume say 25% to about 4500 rpms and 50% the rest of the away. But now She sounds like a beautiful Porsche Cup/Race car. I always said my 991 GT3 was a beast and best sound from 7000-9000 but this beats it. It is not so much that She is louder than the GT3 but the note from the exhaust is certainly better than the GT3 w/SW Bypass and the OEM GT4 exhaust.
Now - they said give her a couple more weeks and She will get better.
I guess my expecation was some what that She would be too loud or loud as hell and I got about 50% more volume but just a great sounding exhaust - any one in the area can let me know and we can meet and you can hear for your self
Now - in regards to any driving differences - So far all I can say is she is now set free. She just revs freer and pulls more linear. There is no choking what so ever. It is that obvious.
Hey Jimmy....give it a couple hundred miles and the sound will change and get louder...trust me!
Your description sounds about the same to my CG headers and exhaust.
^^^nice, glad you are enjoying it and it exceeding your expectations! Now her bowel obstruction is relieved, time to feed her more air (TB + plenum!)
I heard a GT4 with catless race headers (*snicker*) live and it sounds ridiculous even with stock PSE!
We need vids!
Plenum has been on back order - when it get here she will be going on with tune.- than I am done
All I can say now is 3000-5000 rpm feels like it has a little power band now than some thing holding it back but never really noticed how obvious it is until now
