What would be a fair # to ask for when you say proactive for a compensation? I've never been in this circumstance before so not sure what is fair to ask. I'm not getting my hopes up on $ comp but just want the car to be perfect as new.
Whatever happens, the recommendation is to keep that between you and PCNA instead of making it public. I prefer to call it "making things right" . If you're curious about details, feel free to PM.
according to the SA this afternoon, car is finished and waiting for alignment. Should be ready for pick up tmw evening or Wed morning. I will know for sure midday tmw when they call me. As far as photo, I wont know if i can get a snap until i pick up the car. I am more concerned for the car to be repaired in perfect form then getting a photo of the damaged steering rack but I will ask to see where the seal caused the leak.

The saga continues..... today's update is car was put back together but the lead tech was not able to align the car back to factory spec. Apparently they noticed the part number to the new steering rack is slightly different than the original one they pulled out (last 3 digits are different. i.e. 012 vs 015). They are going back to Germany to double check on the part # and check if there are possibly other parts updates. They are also waiting for the PCNA inspector/engineer to come to the dealer to inspect and examine the car. At this point, I have lack of confidence in this dealer and their service department with all the different stories that 3 advisers including the service manager. They have no conclusion today and will need to wait for further analysis. Starting to loose hope on this and about to post up the car for sale or ask dealer to fully refund my $$ ;-O
I also file a complaint with PCNA today so they are also investigating into this.

You are correct the whole process didn't sound right. That's why I've been so interested to see the rack and " the small parts" that they needed for the repair. Keep updating Good luck carl
Nope. PCNA called this morning and now is on the case coordinating with porsche motorsport and germany headquarters on this case. They are trying to work out the alignment issue back to spec. I hope to have an update by end of day today. They mention compensation but thats a separate conversation once the car is fixed and back in my possession.....
With PCNA corporate now in the picture, this should be resolved asap. They can dance all they want, at the end of the day, there will be no dancing in my court room when we have the discussion on compensation. Each additional day will only tally up more in my request while the car must be immaculate when I go pick it up with no exception.
Got car back yesterday. Drove 60 miles today and car seems to be perfect. The alignment and also corner balanced came out better than when I took delivery of the car. Car seems to be perfect for now. 4carl..sorry no photos as the old steering rack was wrapped up being shipped back to Germany...
