Is there any 'Court of Appeals', or is a locked order locked?

Re lock date I think it depends on how soon after it locks you decide you want a change.
My experience is that changes are not possible, and I've read on this board that some folks got a change in but it was very shortly after the lock (like a day or two).
I asked for changes because my build locked two weeks early. I knew it might lock early so I called 10 days ahead thinking I had time, and was informed it had locked four days prior. I gave them my request anyway and they say they went to their zone rep or area rep and climbed the food chain but request denied. Maybe if they'd asked inside 24 hours it would have been different.
It's my own fault. I had been waffling on a couple minor things and had changed my mind. Rather than pester my SA with every new build code -- I was "saving" up until it was closer to give him the changes at one time. If I'd been less considerate my changes would have made the cut. I'm glad there was nothing THAT important to me but on the other hand it's disappointing to spend almost $100K and not have the chance to know that my lock date was moved up. Is it THAT tough for them to let a dealer know the time frame has changed?
I realize this is all about manufacturing efficiency and they don't want changes - but they could make all lock dates further in advance, or have a system to notify clients if things change. They want to be able to manage their process but as long as supply/demand allow them to sell everything they want at the price they need.....they have no motivation to become more customer centric.
I'm not complaining. At least I have an allocation and I'm very happy to have it. I just think the experience could have been better and I have a great SA who does a great job.

My dealer actually emailed me 48 hours prior to my order locking asking if there were any changes that I wanted to make.
I lost sleep over that for 2 nights and emailed him back and said 'no'...lol
I am definitely thankful for the opportunity nonetheless

PCCBs?
I went through the same determination - PCCBs or not.
A quick call to the Porsche Parts dept and
1) If you have steels and want PCCBs the parts are $24k
2) if you have PCCBs and want Steels the parts are $6k
The one change in my order was to add PCCBs

^Could not agree with you more. I got the PCCBs but in retrospect I would of saved $8000. I am doing a beta test. I want to determine, for myself, if one can really tell the difference for street driving. An expensive test but may or may not save me money for future builds. Plus, I traded in my GT3 so playing with house money. I will give my objective opinion and post 60 days after arrival.
