Agree Sonorous, the 4.0 sounded louder and angrier in comparison to stock. Asked about the system... Fabspeed headers and stock GT4 mufflers. Amazing how the same mufflers can sound so different.

All in all, what does the 4.0 conversion entail?

Did he go over what they do?

Yes, I forgot to mention the great 4.0 t-shirt we all got!

Thanks for the review and additional photos Ajjra. The engine shop area was so packed I could even slip in there!

Default Friendly Reminder

Just a friendly reminder for everyone... The whole DeMan team was amazingly informative and open to providing us freedom to move around the shop and photograph all the eye candy. Please be aware that there were some details and special projects there that they consider confidential. As we share photos here please consider this and if in doubt contact Matt at DeMan (Rennlist: DeMan Motorsport) with any questions or specifics. Thanks!

yes. In great detail - The short version is they drop the GT3RS 4.0 crank into the 3.8 Boxster to create the 4L of displacement. They also swap in Carrillo rods. Stock pistons. They also use a larger intake & throttle body.
Fabspeed headers, stock muffler.

I'm sure I'm missing some things.

Amazing pictures, guys! Thanks for posting. Anyone have any side profiles or wing shots of the white 981 on the rack?

I am don't think I have more but I will check. There does seem to be a lot of photos of the car on the DeMan website: http://demanmotorsport.com/gallery/

Here is a shot of the underbelly (sans engine) for fun:

I could be off with the exact details, but it includes: increased throttle body, new crank (custom), new connecting rods, new headers (maybe exhaust - not sure), new flash / tune... I'm probably missing a few points, but I its all the internal bits that help create the fire from inside the belly.

It sounded great in person
