I wussed out and went with another set of 20s to suppliment the factory set until/if there is an 18" solution. Since I drive to the track, a second set allows more flexibility to increase tire longevity, and avoid skipping half of a track weekend due to corded tires or flats like I have had before.

I should just buy stock in Michelin.

OZ 20x8.5 and 20x11 with factory N0 Cup2 sizes. I'll post weights and pics on the car when I swap them for my next track day early next month.

How are you going to deal with a bad (corded, etc) tire since you are driving to and from to the track?
Because its not "if" its going to happen, but "when". Unless you switch out suspect tires beforehand or hope to find a good Samaritan.

I ran into someone, at a PCA track event, looking for a spare usable tire because they had a 300 mile trip home and one bad tire after the weekend.

I bought the space saver tire to throw in the trunk for those weekends where I am driving to the track for this exact scenario. It's a workable solution; however, it does take quite a bit of space, leaving you not too much space for tools etc. Not ideal, but at least you are not totally stranded.

I live about 35 mins from COTA, so I can get the woman to bring me the spare set at the track if needed.

The flat I got that spoiled one day was the day before, and the time I corded the fronts was Sat afternoon although I made it home fine. My second set keeps me on track in both of these circumstances, although it won't save me in all cases and at other tracks farther from home.

Why not 19" I just took a look on tire rack as suggested. I see 19 and 20 also BBS CH-R which look cool.

I didn't like the tire choices for 19s any better than 20s since I don't want to drive to the track on Hoosiers. I got caught in an epic rainstorm on one trip to COTA in the GT4, and it did fine on the Cup2s... a boat would have been better, but it worked.

The BBS CH is a great alternative as well. The 19" OZ or BBS would work with Bridgestone RE71Rs, albeit with a slightly narrower rear tire (285). I hear good things about the RE71Rs, so this could turn out to be a good alternative since they are almost half as much as 20" cup2s.

Do the wheels require any centering rings or do they fit the GT4 hub?

They should go on using only factory lug bolts. I will confirm when I install them.

It's very invasive to do that, but if there was a well fabricated kit and good integration design, I'd probably do this and sell my trailex.

Did you get the wheels with the stock offsets? +61mm F and +50mm R?
I only ask as I'm looking for a second set of wheels with MPSS for my GT4, and the stock offsets seem way out there (front at least, presumably because of the wider front track.)

Have you tried the R wheels on the GT4? does anyone know if they fit. I was going to test fit mine R wheels this week on the GT4
