Talking Installed some new goodies on the GT4

Did a few suspension and braking mods on the car recently right before this weekend's track days at Chuckwalla. I installed new Endless ME20 pads and AP slotted rotors all the way around with Endless brake fluid along with the caliper and brake line studs. Man, the car stops on a dime now with great initial bite.

Then I had my suspension guy install new Swift Springs with helper springs on all 4 corners (450 front and 550 rear) along with Tarett sway bar drop links so the car can be corner balanced. I was having issues with the front rolling over my tires even with the front sway bar in the middle and rear full stiff so stiffer front springs were the way to go. The car is still very comfortable to drive on the street, but I can't wait to see how it feels on the track.

Here's a few pictures of the new springs...

Me too.

What is the consensus on the PASM shocks with higher spring rates? Do they automatically adjust? (I could imagine they might detect a higher frequency oscillation and increase damping to keep the same damping ratio, but maybe that's wishful thinking)

Can't wait to hear how it feels. The car feels much too soft and rolls too much for a strut system to work well.

Verdict from the chassis guy we use is that the pasm on the 991 gt3 and gt4 is light years better than the 997 cars and takes to the higher rates well.

I'm sure marring will be hauling *** this weekend but chuckwalla only has a couple curbs to jump and the real test of dampers is buttonwillow bus stop!

Martin: are you maintaining the stock spring rate balance and just going stiffer or did you alter?

So martin (bean counter) you went roughly 100% stiffer on the front
And 25% on the back?

Wow this is going to be interesting
Rides well on the street ( 1/2 the test is passed ) That is amazing with those spring rates

Reading all the reviews I'm thinking we may finally have a car that's soft enough for Sebring!

Would you mind sharing photos of the AP slotted rotors? These rotors are the same thickness as OEM, correct?

I'll post up pictures later on tonight when I get home. Yes, they are the same thickness and size as OEM rotors.

Yeah, the front even with -3.2 camber was rolling the tires over and I was getting a lot more outside tire wear. Folks who were watching my car were saying that the car was driving too much upon med to heavy braking. If the car is understeering too much then I'll go back to full soft on the front sway bar (rear is set to full stiff and front is set in the middle currently).

Here you go. Don't mind the sand bucket. Just holding the rotor flat while I get ready to install the set screws.
