ya of course...my bad i was referring to tires that can be used on street?????? cup2s are still street legal tires! I'll go back to school to learn more about tires I guess?

Technically Hoosiers are street legal too. Any R-comp is street legal. It's just a matter of whether it works for your street use and conditions. I regularly drive to the track and back on R7s, no issues (in my other car that is).

technially you are correct, I should have clarified but for the sake of the point I think 9001 was trying to make they are very very unlikely anything other than cup 2s or are 100% cup2s if stock wheels are still on RS. In my area I dont consider hoosiers usable on street..

Sorry, my bad - I re-read what you posted about the rs. I thought you were saying he was running street tires. That's not what you said. My mistake.

I have instructed with the owner of the 997.2 RS in the past. He has after market wheels and every time I have seen the car he was on Hoosiers... So it is highly likely that was the case this day as well.

In the end I am not 100% sure about what he was on in this particular this day...hence the comment . If I was to bet it would be something stickier than a Cup2.

I have video of his car in grid if you want to play detective. It clearly shows he is on aftermarket wheels. In the end I could really car less. Just thought I would inform you how you are "likely" wrong .

Enhance...enhance...enhance...

Here is a video of me playing with different 7.2 RS on TrofeoRs...

And a 991 GT3

And a old video of me playing with the same RS as the most recent video...but I am in my s2k (fast forward to the 8:50 mark).

Feel free to let me know if you need any additional data points for your analysis .

Lastly never heard of a 7.2 RS getting into 16-17, stock, on the 1.7 CW. Supposedly Jason Hart and Kieth Verges have hit or plan to hit a 18 in a stock 991 GT3 on the 1.7 CW. I highly doubt a stock a stock 7.2 RS would be 1 to seconds faster. I am open to video evidence or lap records that show otherwise though .

That's odd, I was was in the 18s and I didn't really know what I was doing the other day, at the MSR PCA Clubrace event. There was a lot more to get on the back side (not sure what the corner numbers/what they are called - tombstone/big bend maybe), but that was CCW. Let me dig up some video.

Plus GT4 on the same tires (or Dunlop R-compound).

Negative it is a blue with red 997.2 RS. You can bump the quality to 720p if you need a better looks .

Oh and interested in seeing a stock 7.2 RS touch 18s on the 1.7 CCW. That is wicked quick for that car without some legit track rubber.
