What is the normal price for TB and plenum??

If they are still having a deal may be worth jumping on it

The plenum runs a tick under $1k and the the throttle body is roughly $350. I purchased mine from John at Fabspeed after ECS sort of pulled the rug out from under me with availability. John was great to work with BTW.

http://swaintech.com

It is a company that specializes in coatings for engine and exhaust parts. Depending on the part, the coatings can be for lubricity or thermal management. As it applies to GT4 exhaust systems, the reduction in heat from a coated exhaust to the engine bay will (EDIT: by some accounts) result in slightly more power. YMMV

I do not know exactly. But their web site quotes approximate prices. I would guess somewhere between $300 each for headers and exhaust. I don't have any firsthand experience with Swain. My headers and exhaust are wrapped with insulating fiberglass tape. That stuff is not the easiest to work with and it deteriorates over time. Also becomes difficult to remove. Swain's coatings, by comparison, are neat and clean and they shouldn't require any maintenance. And there's no labor involved. From what I understand you send them your parts, they coat them, and they ship them back to you.

Hold on, both BGB and Fabspeed have explicitly stated that there have been no power gains, and that for the 981 with its exhaust in the airflow there is no reason to ceramic coat, and it's potentially negative when applied to the cats. Only reason I'm saying this is that we have to be careful not to spread opinions as facts, I have no dog in this fight.

Most who coat do both headers and cats. There should be no reason you can not coat the cats. They plug all the holes to make sure nothing gets in the Cats. No one knows , for certain, that if by coating you would not pick up more HP. Read some info from the swain website. But it will certainly keep things cooler down there

For $285 for both headers it's cheap and even if it doesn't help in the power department there is a measurable difference in temps......cats shouldn't be a problem, they actually work better with more temp. You only coat the outside.

I'm thinking of sending my Cayman track cargraphic heads and custom exhaust piping (to the 997 GT3 center muffler) to get coated this summer. I want to do all I can to keep my PDK/oil temps down.
