Default Full time PSE

Has anyone figured out how to set the GT4 in PSE ON all the time? It just sounds too good, and I end up switching it ON every time I drive the car. So why not have it ON all the time (or maybe ON being the default, and OFF requiring a switch?)

I'm pretty sure the sport exhaust on this car works the same way as the one on the 991 GT3. The only way you'll get it to stay on is by going under the car, locating the valve solenoid and disconnecting the vacuum supply line.

Yeah, it's on the whole time for me as well. Too bad it's not 'on' by default, but that's expected.

I wonder if the GT3 experience is relevant. Reading about the GT3 PSE valves, they appear to be much more sophisticated than the valves on the GT4. Like many other components on the GT4, they PSE looks to be the same as the one on the GTS (it sounds different because the engine is different.) I had a GTS, and the valves are simply there to change the sound, not the HP or torque (like claimed for the GT3). They run from a single hose split into a T above the exhaust tips.
The question (an empirical one, I imagine) is whether they are open with no vacuum, or closed with no vacuum. If we simply disconnect the vacuum hose and cap it, does that leave the valves open (loud) or closed (quiet)?
I guess I have to try it and see...

Me too. I broke one of my manicured nails pushing the button the other week. Damn Porsche.
