I have a S4 and Q5 GWM sitting in my garage next to my CWM GT4 so I'm not making this up based on "internet" hearsay. I've owned 12 Audi's and all but two of them had metallic paint. None of them were bursting with "life" so maybe I had the wrong colors?
Hi Jenner - The Panther Black and Sepang Blue simply Burst with life and look fantastic close up in the sunshine - when you ever get some here in the uk ... HaHa

I parked my Pure White GT4 next to my Ibis White S8, and you're right Jenner, the Audi is slightly warm.
0Q Pure White (C9A paint code) is a non metallic neutral white, and as the name infers it has no warm or cool tone.
Pure White replaced the slightly warm B4 Carrara White (B9A paint code) on the 981 starting July 2012.
Here’s a picture showing the difference.

There are no GT4s painted in Carrera White Metallic, the word is Carrara.

The Carrera Panamerica is a famous race that signifies Porsche and confuses many Porsche folks with the color Carrara White Metallic.

Carrara is the Italian marble quarry where Michelangelo would select the material for his sculptures. The Carrara White Metallic paint has a soft depth to it like marble, seen when close up.

I drove right by the Carrara marble quarries in western Italy on my European Delivery trip. And right there, as I was looking out the window at the hillside quarry, I got a rock chip... from a truck 1 lane over hauling carrara marble... while driving in my Carrara White Metallic GT4. It was the only rock chip I got the whole trip across thousands of miles.

The irony was not lost.

Great picture! Very partial to Carrara yet conscious of the effort it would take to match the color!

Fowwiee's pic is a good representation of the difference when you can see a difference. 75% of the time I have seen them side by side, you cannot tell from greater than 2 feet away.

But in certain lights, the difference is obvious. CWM is more grey and cooler. White has some milky cream in it, not as bright.

White is neutral, that's why Porsche calls it Pure White.

Carrara White has a bit more blue hue to it. Looks great in person and even better in photos. The Pure White looks a bit yellow when placed next to CWM

I picked Pure White at the end cuz I personally prefer solid colors over Metallic for sportscars. Otherwise, CWM is really nice

The blue can be offset by surrounding colors

I have a CGTS in CWM and a 981 spyder in white. The only time I see a difference in color is in my garage at night. With my recessed LED's on the CWM is a "richer" deeper color because of the metallic. The white Spyder is as someone above said plain ole white. Both look great and are easy to keep clean.
