if so...

2. are the housing blk
3. if 1 and 2 are "yes" then standard lights is just like PDLS except it will not pivot when you turn?

Hi Mooty,
Please see this post where you can see a picture of the standard 25w Xenons:

https://rennlist.com/forums/gt4/8675...l#post12192007

This picture is probably of a U.S. spec car due to the amber headlamps. Hopefully an actual owner can confirm.

standard is black with no washer nozzles. PDLS option gets you swiveling, higher wattage bulbs, and washer nozzles. You get xenon no matter what.

Soupy hit all the points. Here's an up-close pic I posted yesterday (US car) so you can see what they look like. All black. No need to upgrade.

Yes, I have standards and "Yes" on 1 and 2.

On 3, other differences besides pivoting, is PDLS has 35w bulb vs 25 w on standard (at least that is what I remember reading on RL) and no nipple/headlight washer.

Yep - just to confirm the tech specs state 'Bi-Xenon™ headlights in Black' but as noted the wattages differ

Any other pics you need just let me know...

Yep, let me be the 2nd to confirm; standard work great and upgrade wattage/turning would be nice but is negated by "nipples" in my opinion.

so if the car has no nipple, means no PDLS

Yep. I never liked the way the nips look. Even when they'd color-matched they never really match the body color perfectly.

I think PDLS also gets you speed-sensitive height adjustment, which the standard setup may not have. Same with self-leveling, though admittedly that's not as much of a concern in a car that won't be hauling a lot of cargo ever.

I got PDLS because I do like cornering adjustments and the 40% higher wattage appealed to me. I would definitely have preferred to skip the washers for aesthetic and functional reasons (don't need to spray my whole front end....), but that caused Porsche to end up getting even more cash out of me by my optioning painted washers. I've seen them on other cars and it looks MILES better than the standard black and especially silver on other models. Otherwise it just looks like car acne to me.

thank you all for the help.

also i found that even if you opted for PDLS, you do not need to order the nipple (this is unlike all previous cars where PDLS required nipple)
