My wife asked me not to for the time being as well
As far as I can tell (didn't try very hard), I don't think the passenger seat comes with the lower LATCH/ISOFIX anchors, despite what the manual says. I suspect it's standard in some regional markets. Anyone's car in the US come with lower LATCH anchors?

Isofix anchor points are very obvious, you would know if you have them.

Just checked mine (2-way seats):
No LATCH anchors installed (though the manual mentions them like they're there)
No manual airbag deactivation (just the auto sensors in the seat, with the manual making circular references to how these may or may not work in certain situations based on load spread etc. and to contact your dealer if there appears to be a fault to correct)
Upper tether does exist behind the rear seats (but I've no idea how you could actually thread the child seat tether through the back of the hard-shell seat)
Canadians don't get the isofix hooks. Was disappointed but not the end of the world. My kid is old enough. Most boosters don't have the hooks.
Took a few visits to stores but finally found a set that fits. Best part, it was a valued seat from Walmart. I vetoed the pink trim.
Canadians aren't allowed To use US seats so none of the Porsche nor recarro seats are allowed even though they probably exceed regulations during testing.
The manual specifically states no child seats allowed with LWB. One of the reasons I didn't spec the seats. The joy of my kid driving and sitting upfront this weekend made it all worth it. The sport plus is a great seat and already hard enough to climb in and out gracefully.
No wife veto to take the kid out. Widowed. Don't intend neither of us to join her.

You should call your dealer.
If you have US market GT4 (and I'm assuming you do based on your location), and you have anything other than the LWB's you should have the LATCH anchors in your passenger side seat. You also have a weight sensor in that seat which obfuscates the need for a manual airbag deactivation switch.

Yup - good call. Definitely no LATCH anchors. Do you have a picture of what they look like? There is the picture in the manual of course, but I'm assuming they don't look anything like the 'LATCH anchors by Atari' sketch that they have in there.
I've got the weight sensor, but the manual covers repeatedly how it might not always work in all situations, and I've seen that in previous cars, where even a slight weight shift can change the reading. I like the idea of a manual shut-off for complete peace of mind.

I'm sorry but I don't. I've not yet taken delivery of my GT4 (which will have LWB's anyway) but I have seen the LATCH anchors on non-LWB equipped GTS models several times when I was doing back and forth on which seats to get. Unfortunately, I never thought of taking a photo. You might try asking on the non-GT4 area here as there are far more GTS owners with the same seats as you than there are GT4 owners. I'm sure someone would happily help you yout

As I understand it, and I could be wrong, Federal regulations changed a few years back and manufacturers can not offer a shut off switch for front airbags anymore. Many dealers refuse to retrofit the part as well. If you do a search here and/or on Planet 9 for LWB's and car seats there's a ton of research in this area.
Good luck, I'm sure your dealer will get you hooked up correctly.

Hey, really useful - I appreciate the info!
I'll check with my SA and maybe go down and look in the showroom for LATCH-equipped cars. If they don't have any the GTS folks can surely help, as you say!
Update:
Trying to get through to my dealer's service department, but in the meantime looking on the Suncoast website the 'Plus' seat (4 year olds and above) only mentions fitment for the previous gen Boxster/Cayman and mentions the need for a deactivation kit (assuming it was still a legal requirement on new cars back then)
Meanwhile the manual definitely mentions the anchor points but the regular website tech specs under 'safety' does not. Hopefully the dealer can explain the mismatch...
