Rear hatch struts weak?

I wonder if the struts have compensated for the extra wing weight?

I would certainly expect so! Porsche wouldn't want an uncompensated hatch dropping on the head of some litigious American.

The entire hatch was redesigned, including stiffening the rubber bump stops to compensate for the added downforce.

Not sure about that. The hatch struts on the 955 Cayenne are practically a wear item requiring replacement every few years.
