I'm interested in adding a 2.5lb Halon fire extinguisher and I'm wondering if we in the US can mount the same as the clubsport method where it's on the bottom corner of the console in the passenger footwell and not under the passenger seat?

I did a quick search. I recall seeing pictures of a clubsport car but I can't find it. Can we buy the same mount or has anybody found an alternative that enables mounting in this same place? I expect the bottle would have to be purchsed in the US and definately want the clean Halon type and not the dry chemical.

Has anyone removed the cargo net-thing in the footwell? I purposely didn't spec this and the car showed up with this as a bonus I guess. Worst case I'll use the Brey Krause under seat mount afteral but I'd appreciate any advice.

Haven't seen an aftermarket mount that's similar as it probably requires cutouts to mount.

 

Thanks Soupy, that's exactly what I want to do. I have time today to look closer for cutouts in the carpeting there. It's not been easy trying to find the bracket and that same size bottle but I'm determined!
