45 N mm Front (257 lbs/ inch)
80 N mm Rear (457 lbs/ inch)

Those are main springs without the helpers or bump stops.

Interesting. A 300 pound difference from front to rear is quite large. That 3.8 engine must weigh quite a bit more than the 3.4. Petevb do you know the weight difference between the two engines?

From memory it's something like 8 lbs. The weight difference is very small, largely offset by the lighter flywheel. The rear springs are not there to counter weight. Downforce will have a bigger effect, but it goes in proportion to static weight so it should effect both the front and rear.

Oops. Quick reading and bad math on my part. 200 lbs. is more typical of the F/R delta.

No wonder this car rides sooo good on the street. I foresee some swift spring upgrades in many a GT4 future.

392/616 # swifts sound good, and well within the shock's range. Stock length would work fine, or maybe go 1" shorter at most.

I'm sure BBI is already working on something similar

precisely why i asked. and agree that 400/600 would be a starting point to try.

pleasure was all mine.
i can't get below 1:38 all weekend ugh...
i qual'd 2nd for GTB1. lap one was a giant mess at T3 as 50% of the cars gone off. i got to 1st of GTB1 but lost it as my competitor perfectly executed a brilliant pass on me. he deserved it. i failed to win, learned a bunch and had fun meeting all the RL'ster in person.

lap 1
turn 3

The Ritz Carlton for me is to the right of the red tent. A Freightliner cab with RV sleeper and car hauler all on 1 frame. No trailer to worry about. If I could only win the lottery.
