I normally depend on the Tire Rack to supply acceptable Non-OEM winter wheels for all my cars. Unfortunately, they do not offer any for the GT4 and I don't know where else I might be able to obtain any.
Tire rack is now showing wheel and tire packages for the GT4.
After the ordering process to date I will await purchasing until my car has arrived and in my hands. Since it is on the boat now I am hopeful.
So ~$8K? Either it wasn't purchased new, doesn't have four wheels, or isn't a road vehicle.
You're getting close.
This is what I plan on buying.
Will be the complete opposite to the GT4, like Dr. Jekyll vs Mr. Hyde....performance vs economy.

I think with some sticky tires and suspension, it may be quite fun

Except, as of right now, a few of TireRack's listed selections will require spacers to even come close and most clearly won't work on a GT4 because of significant offset differences (e.g., moving the fronts out 10+ mm). And that ignores any other clearance problems, lack of 19" tires, and ride height. Plus the site showing GT4 wheel choices has a 981 Boxster pictured. Methinks TR has a glitch.
Took delivery today. Car is refined and relatively free of random noises compared to my track prepped Lotus. I can daily this thing in the streets of Los Angeles. With some careful navigation, ramps have not been an issue.
No it won't ride like a luxury car or be mindless to drive, but very doable if you have the right mindset. Definitely not very fast point to point like an M4 or as luxurious. M4 is the ultimate daily IMO.

Thanks. The dealer returned my initial $2500 deposit check (it was never cashed) and I noted the date of the check was 8/25/2014! How time flies.
Forgot to add that the tire noise right now is very low. Consistent with my experience with R comp tires, I expect them to become noisy with age and heat cycles.
DD in a GT4 would be pretty doable other than the low front lip. A plan needs to be in place for what roads you can travel and if the driveway at your destination will allow you to get in or out. Living in stance nation!
