Finally saw a GT4 in the wild today. I was driving into Melbourne (in my Merc) to buy a watch and saw a Carmine red with the clubsport pack on St Kilda Rd turning onto Punt Road. Looked totally amazing. Can't ebeliev how sweet it looked amongst all the 4 wheeled boxes on the road, a truly beautiful car.

I am in Sydney at the moment, and saw my first GT4 in the wild the other day also. Was driving my friends merc and the GT4 overtook me going through the cross Sydney tunnel. Agate grey. Agree its a beautiful car and it sounds great. Mine is at home and I'm missing it. :(

Anyone else noticed GT4's are disappearing off carsales in Aus lately ?
At one stage there was 18 and now 10, usually cars dont really move this time of the year but the GT4's have.
I think people must be realizing what a great car this really is.

I think people always knew how great they were and what you're seeing is the flippers moving on and the cars getting into the hands of enthusiasts. Certainly thats wasn't all the cars for sale but when you see 500km 1 year old GT4's for sale it's pretty obvious what the car was purchased for

Really? I was thinking the opposite. The GT and turbo market seems to have stalled.

I actually think that a lot of people bought the car without really knowing that they were getting. I could see that a lot of people would have been excited by the hype that surrounded the car, but didnt think enough about its uncompromising nature, as well as the need to wring it out to get to the sweet spot. Drive it a few times, realise it doesn't really fit you that well, and unload it when the garage seems like its a bit full.

How many on here still have their cars from new as a matter of interest, and if so what are your thoughts now that the new car excitement has dulled?

I actually like it now more than when I bought it. It will be hard to let this car go.

I had a test drive of a 991.2 GTS the other day and was shocked at how poorly it compared to the GT4.

I said it in another thread, but at almost 2 years in for me, this car is really beginning to age like a fine wine.

What didn't you like about the GTS? I think that by the time you put decent options on them they are too close to GT3 money to make financial sense. I haven't driven one though, did you try PCH's?

Excitement still there, more so now than ever before . The more I get to know it the more rewarding it is. There's nothing else quite like it, its like the perfect mistress mixed in with a touch of Jekyll & Hyde personality.

I know one thing, she really come alive when when you wring its neck, its definitely not a slow car and I own a 911 turbo. Throttle response is amazingly quick through fast gear changes.

I have had mine since new, 4300km and will be 1 year on Saturday.

I only drive it track or spirited driving, weekend fun runs, stay out of the city with it. Hate driving manual in the city.

I love it and won't be selling it until I am ready to buy a GT3. Just received the IPD, TB and KN Filters and will be installing them soon with a tune.

Also ordered some martini decals and will put them on when they arrive.

Best car I have ever owned.

I see Melbourne pulled the ad for their blue one this morning, however I was told that they didn't own it. If that was true, I'm not sure how they got around Victoria's consignment laws.

That's what I was thinking as well, unless the laws have changed.
